Week Before Last...

Live Oak and places south...

We went to the Live Oak Sherrif's Boys Ranch Thrift store and the new flea market next door. The husband finally found a milk jug. He has been wanting one for a while.

I found a copy of a book I already have. It is about the worst prison riot ever, New Mexico in 1980. It's a scared straight story for work.

The husband found more poker chips. It is an addiction.

I found this cool tin Chinese Checkers/Checkers game. The colors are great.

We had to buy this Golf Billards game. It hasn't been used. It joined the pile of golf items in the closet. It was only $5. See the original price was $29.99. Good deal.

We wandered south. Ended up in Chiefland, FL at Bett's Big T restaurant. They were friendly, great service, good prices and great food. Plus the other half of this cool old former service station was a antique store.

It was a lovely day of wandering and checking out thrift and antique stores.

Last Week... Olustee

Olustee Battlefield Festival and Reinactment

Then some thrifting...

A couple weeks ago... Alachua

A couple weeks ago...

Since the husband and I are short on funds until payday we decided to take a short day out and not go too far. We spent most of our money on mailing off packages and then headed to the town that the University of Florida built.

I have never been a fan of Gainesville. In all the years I have lived in Florida I rarely gone there. Since meeting the husband I have been going there now and then. He used to deliver in Gainesville and knows the ins and outs.

Today was like most visits... we went to our top thrift spots. We went to Children's Home Society.

I bought a cool old loaf pan. It looks like this one...

The husband found Cypress Gardens 25th anniversary playing cards. You never know what a handful of change will get ya.

Then we wandered through Alachua. I took some pictures along Main Street.

7. Save Money:
The husband's work took money out twice for insurance we did not sign uThis month did not save a penny.p for.
Then something he signed up for online took $79 dollars from his account. He got that money back but it caused overdraft fees.
We have paid all our bills but had to borrow a few bucks from the in-laws.
Next payday the insurance money will be refunded. That money will be socked away and the paid back.

9. Improve at Work:
I caught up on filing.
I have all the clients seen.
My supervisor went on vacation a couple weeks ago. It was tough to get through with all of us covering what he does daily. Then he called in with a fractured ankle. He's been out for weeks. When he comes back he will be in a wheelchair. While we all want him to have a good recovery there are only 3 of us in the department besides him and it has been tough to cover it all.
I nearly had a breakdown last week. Every day is an adventure when you don't know what might come your way. I just do what I can in 8 hours and play catch up the rest of the week.
