30 Day Film Challenge #4

4. A movie that makes you sad

Antwone Fisher (2002)

I avoided this movie for a while because I knew it would make me sad. It's about a foster kid with a troubled background who goes to see psychiatrist Denzel Washington to dear with his issues. Of course I teared up. They had us watch it in school. Thank goodness for dark rooms.

30 Day Film Challenge #3

3.A movie that makes you happy

Love Actually (2003)

I know, I already wrote about this chick flick. But I like how the stories all intertwine and come out with happy endings.

30 Day Film Challenge #2

2.The most underrated movie

I cheated on this one and googled for inspiration. Then Better Off Dead (1985) came up. John Cusack, a very young John Cusack. A guy who repeatedly tries to kill himself, delusions in a burger joint, Booger, foreign exchange student, a mom who can't cook, that guy from MASH, ski competition, Howard Cosell references and my favorite... "I want my two dollars!" And yes, I have this one on VHS.

30 Day Film Challenge #1

I found this website and was intrigued. I am cheating and starting this now. I am only 3 days into the month, not bad.

1.The best movie you saw last year

Red (2010)

Red Poster

It is Helen Miren with weapons. You don't see that often. That was actually what struck me in the commercials.

John Malcovich is awesome running down the street screaming and looking like an extremely white Flavor Flav.

Morgan Freeman, well, just being slick and cool.

Bruce Willis jumping out of the car in slow motion.

I got even more excited when I heard there is talk of another movie.

Picture Frame Revamp

Over the weekend I found this rather interesting picture. It says 1974 and initials MLP. It had such interesting colors. It was only $2.00. I figured what the heck.

The very next day the husband painted the frame for me. I think he has a secret love of painting things, even though he denies. He painted a metal and tile trivet the other week for me. It came out great. That one was pistachio. This frame became brown. It found a good home in the dining room. The dining room is already milk dud - with malted milk walls and chocolate turtle brown trim.

If the house was different colors I would swear it was a haunted house. Something about the hook material of it made me think it would be the texture I was looking for.
